Poland receives 250 Abrams tanks – M1A2 SEPv3 from the USA

Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak wrote on Twitter that the country’s army will receive Abrams tanks from the American side.

The head of the ministry declared that this is the most important contract in the field of armaments for many years.
“The Polish army is strengthening. The US Congress has approved the sale of 250 Abrams tanks to Poland. This is the last important step before signing the acquisition agreement.”

Thus, Poland will receive modernized copies of Abrams tanks – M1A2 SEPv3 – worth $6 billion. And 250 vehicles will go to the eighteenth division of the country, it will be enough for four tank battalions.

Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda ruled out sending Polish combat aircraft to Ukraine, because such a move could push NATO into conflict.
