Biden imposes ban on Russian energy imports
US President Joe Biden announced a ban on Russian energy imports into the United States due to the events in Ukraine.
According to him, Washington understands that European allies will not be able to join the ban on energy imports from Russia.
He indicated that this decision was supported by both parties.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck, said Germany was ready to refuse Russian energy supplies.
According to the minister, Germany will “have a good winter and summer” in gas, oil reserves will last for three months, and coal – “more”.
Habeck said that without imports from Russia, the German energy sector’s reserves and capabilities should last for three years.
