Extraordinary NATO Defense Ministers Conference

NATO Defense Ministers will hold an Extraordinary Video Conference on 16 March.

The alliance said in a statement that NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg will speak to journalists after the conference.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had said earlier. The Alliance is not looking for a conflict with Russia.

According to him, the goal of the alliance is to prevent the conflict from spreading outside Ukraine. The Secretary-General noted that NATO had undertaken a historic strengthening of the collective security system and had sent thousands of soldiers to the border.

Before that, he said that NATO should give guarantees that the conflict in Ukraine will not go beyond the borders of this country. According to him, NATO bears the responsibility to prevent further escalation of the conflict and prevent its spread beyond Ukraine’s borders.
