Get to Know the Details of the Next Generation Switch

Nintendo plans to unveil the next generation of its hybrid console, Switch 2, by the end of March 2025. This announcement comes from VideoGamesChronicle (VGC), citing remarks from company president Shuntaro Furukawa.

According to the source, Furukawa made the announcement about the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 after the publication of the latest financial report. He promised to introduce the device before the end of the current fiscal year, which extends until March 2025.

Furukawa stated that Nintendo will hold another Direct presentation in June, but no news about the new console is expected. Instead, the company will discuss the lineup of games for the first generation Nintendo Switch for the second half of 2024.

Despite the announcement of the next console, Nintendo has not yet revealed any details about the new device. According to rumors, the Switch 2 will feature performance comparable to the PlayStation 4 and support DLSS technology to increase frame rates.

Nintendo Switch was released in 2017 and remains one of the most successful consoles to date, with sales exceeding 141 million units.
