COVID-19 infection exceeds 458.5 million

The number of registered cases of COVID-19 infection in the world as of this morning, Monday, reached 458,582,909, according to data from the Worldometer portal, which specializes in statistics of major global events.

Since the beginning of the spread of the virus in the world after infection with COVID-19, 60,66237 people have died.

Countries with more than 20 million infections include the United States, India, Brazil and France.

The United States maintained the lead in the number of infected and dead, as 81,174,677 people were diagnosed with COVID-19, and the number of deaths was 993,811.

India ranks second in terms of the number of infected people, with the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at 4,299,391 and the number of deaths as a result of the repercussions of infection with the virus 515,494.

In third place in terms of the number of detected cases of COVID-19 is Brazil, where 2,9368,776 people have been infected, of whom 655,139 have died.

France came fourth. A total of 23514,144 injured and 140,109 deaths were recorded in the country.

According to the portal, the death rate per million of the world’s population reached 778.2 on Sunday morning. In the United States, 2,973 people died out of every million inhabitants, India – 368, Brazil – 3,045, France – 2,138. On Monday morning, the portal did not update data on the death rate.
