   On Tuesday, the Transport Safety Bureau in Singapore opened an investigation into an accident where a Singaporean plane ran into severe air turbulence and made an emergency landing at an airport in Thailand, killing one person and injuring 30 others. 

 

Channel News Asia reported: The Singaporean Ministry of Transport office will send an investigation team to Thailand, where the plane coming from London made an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, adding that the office is in contact with the local authorities there.

For his part, Singapore President Tharman expressed Shanmugaratnam expressed his condolences to the family and loved ones of the 73-year-old British citizen, who died as a result of the accident on board the Singapore Airlines plane, stressing that the authorities are working to provide support to all those affected and are working in coordination with the authorities in Thailand. The “Boeing 777” plane was hit. It experienced severe weather turbulence 90 minutes before arriving at its scheduled destination in Singapore; Which prompted it to make an emergency landing in Thailand. There were 211 passengers and 18 crew members on board.

One of the passengers confirmed that the plane began to shake, decline, and tilt sharply and suddenly, and that a large number of passengers who were not wearing seat belts collided violently with the roof of the plane. < /p>

Boeing also confirmed It is in contact with Singapore Airlines and is ready to provide assistance, expressing its condolences to the family of the deceased.
