France freezes central bank assets and Russian citizens

The Minister of Economy and Finance of France Bruno Lo, said France had froze the Russian-central bank assets of 22 billion euros

“The central bank’s assets of the Russian Federation have been frozen at 22 billion euros, and are also in the accounts of individuals in French institutions of 150 million euros,” Bruno said.

In addition, real estate in France was frozen at a total cost of “half a billion euros” for about 30 Russians.

At the end of February, the EU (EU) prohibits operations relating to the management and assets of the Central Bank of Russia (CB). The US Department of Finance has also ban dealing with the Central Bank, FNB and the Ministry of Finance in Russia.
