Idris Elba admits he used to sell drugs
Idris Elba, better known as Heimdall on Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, talked about selling banned substances when he started working on the movie.
In an interview with Screen Rant, the actor admitted that he was trying to move up the career ladder in this way.
“Comedian Dave Chappelle remembers me for buying drugs from me,” Elba said.
In 2000, the artist played one of the main roles in the detective drama The Wire. The series revolves around the investigation of a case of smuggling illegal materials by a criminal group. The role helped establish Elba in Hollywood, and the actor has since landed roles in Marvel, the Fast and the Furious franchise, and other major projects.
Elba added that he stopped the drug trade long ago. Now he is successfully working in films and producing projects with his participation.
In 2022, the movie “The Beast” will be released, in which the actor played the main role.
