Advance:

  • Jeff Bridges says he’s heading to the set of ‘Tron: Ares’ to film a role.
  • He did not specify if he will return as Kevin Flynn.
  • Jared Leto and Gillian Anderson are among the stars of the new film.

It surely wouldn’t be a ‘Tron’ movie without Jeff Bridges, who played Kevin Flynn in the original 2982 film about a programmer named Kevin Flynn who is drawn to the virtual world of The Grid inside his computer to compete in various challenges. and fight against a malevolent program.

Bridges returned for 2010’s ‘Tron: Legacy,’ playing Flynn and Clu, the program he created in the past to oversee the Grid system that ends up becoming a threat himself.

Now, speaking on the ‘Film Comment’ podcast Regarding his career, Bridges said that he will indeed return for the third ‘Tron’ movie, ‘Tron: Ares’, starring Jared Leto.

Here’s what Bridges had to say about his upcoming concert:

“I’m going to play a role in the third installment of the ‘Tron’ story; I’m excited about that. It’s wild. “Jared Leto is the star of this third part and I am very eager to work with him, I have admired his work.”

Bridges does not specify whether it will be Flynn or appear as Clu in a flashback (since he was defeated in ‘Legacy’). Our guess would be the first.

But he did talk about his thoughts on the technology involved in the new film:

“I’m very excited to see what the technology will be about this time. When I did ‘Tron: Legacy,’ we had to put all these stitches in our faces and all this kind of stuff. And that’s probably out of fashion now. I had to look like a young guy or another character, but the same guy, but it was going to be created digitally. I think he was getting older, but I didn’t like the way I looked; I felt like I was more like Bill Maher than myself; It was something strange! I’ve heard there’s even less AI stuff in this. It will be a more practical set and they are beautiful; There are beautiful sets that I have seen.”
