The Foreign Minister heads to Riyadh to participate in the work of the World Economic Forum

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri is heading today, Saturday, to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the activities of the World Economic Forum and hold important ministerial meetings on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian issue.

The official spokesman explained that the visit will include the Foreign Minister’s participation in a round table on trade and supply chain disruptions in the Middle East, in addition to an event on strengthening global security and growth, and a high-level session on the situation in the Middle East region. Ambassador Abu Zeid added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also participate in a number of important meetings related to the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian issue, including a meeting of the group of six Arab countries concerned with following up The situation in Gaza, an inclusive meeting of the group with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and another ministerial meeting that includes a number of countries interested in resolving the Palestinian issue at the international level.

 

The official spokesman added , that Sameh Shoukry will hold a number of bilateral meetings with ministers and international officials participating in the forum’s work, in order to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and raise their level, and to consult on issues and crises at the international and regional levels.
