President Sisi discusses by telephone with the Emir of Qatar ceasefire efforts in Gaza

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, explained that the call dealt with developments in the joint efforts to cease fire in Gaza Strip, the exchange of detainees and prisoners, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip in sufficient and appropriate quantities, as the two sides affirmed their keenness to continue joint work and communication with various parties to stop the war, protect the region from the consequences of the expanding circle of conflict, and restore security and stability in the region.
