The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in the world has increased

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed about 80 cases of monkeypox infection. Another 50 episodes are under review.

“The recent outbreaks, which were reported from 11 countries, are atypical because they occurred in non-endemic countries,” the organization says on Twitter.

It should be noted that WHO, with partners, is working to understand the extent and causes of monkeypox outbreaks.

The publication also states that the disease is spread through close contact, so people who are in close contact with the patient are more likely to become infected. This category includes health workers, family members, and sexual partners.

Monkeypox is a rare viral infection that can also be transmitted between humans. It is usually a mild case and most people recover within a few weeks, but complications can occur for some.

Cases of monkeypox infection have been identified in Spain, Portugal, Britain, Belgium, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Canada, the USA and Australia.
