Actress Ruby Parker hospitalized with mental health issues
Actress Ruby Parker revealed, via social media, that she was hospitalized for mental health reasons.
The 25-year-old Bridgeton star has been struggling with mental health issues since filming the Netflix show. She thanked her family, fans and the streaming platform themselves for “saving her”.
“I’m in the hospital, I’m going out soon, and I hope to be back in my life,” Parker said. “I’m going to take a break, and I recommend to others: If it’s hard for you, do yourself a favor and take a break, and don’t be hard on yourself.”
Parker explained that she has experienced anger and the effect of “intergenerational trauma.”
“I want to survive and I will survive,” she said.
“I carried the weight of the whole world on my shoulders, but now I have a diagnosis, and my life is starting over. I can’t go on with this, I need to change and I’m doing it.”
