The peg-picking team participates in the Russian International Championship
Abu Dhabi, April 30 / WAM / The peg pick team is preparing to participate in the Russian International Championship scheduled for next July, as part of the Equestrian and Racing Federation’s plan to enhance the development of the game, through continued participation in regional and international tournaments.
The team achieved positive gains after concluding its participation in the International Military Stakes Championship hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt from April 23 to 26, the most important of which is exposure to advanced technical levels, enhancing the capabilities and experience of the knights, and improving their skills.
Rashid Al Mazrouei, head of the peg picking department, confirmed that the international military championship in the Arab Republic of Egypt witnessed great technical levels and strong competition, with the presence of 5 teams: Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iraq.
He added: “We participated in the tournament with 5 riders with the aim of giving them more competitive experience. Preparation will continue in the coming period through a local tournament, the details of which will be announced next week, as part of the team’s qualification program before the Russian international.”
