Poland delivered to Ukraine 18 self-propelled howitzers

Citing the country’s government, Polski Radio reported that Poland has delivered to Ukraine 18 modern Krab self-propelled howitzers.

In addition, the Polish army trained 100 Ukrainian artillerymen on how to maintain the received weapons. Currently, Ukraine has received at least 24 self-propelled howitzers.

AHS Krab is a self-propelled howitzer developed in Poland and adopted by the state since 2008.

The chassis was produced under a South Korean license from the K9 Thunder, and the gun was a British AS-90M Braveheart. Shooting range – 40 km, rate of fire – six rounds per minute.

Poland is the second supplier of arms to Ukraine after the United States.

The Polish authorities have donated ammunition and missiles for aircraft, their drones, Piorun MANPADS systems, Grad launchers, 2S1 Go dzik self-propelled howitzers and approximately 250 Soviet T-72 tanks to the Ukrainian army.
