Abu Dhabi, April 29 / WAM / The Make a Wish Foundation celebrated World Wish Day, which falls on April 29 of each year.
This year’s celebration comes in conjunction with the Make a Wish Foundation’s global celebrations of its efforts, through which it has been able to fulfill more than 585,000 wishes in 50 countries over the past 44 years.

Al Nahyan, Honorary President of the “Make a Wish” Foundation, said that the Foundation’s participation in World Wish Day and its dedication to fulfilling the wishes of children suffering from serious diseases embodies the UAE’s commitment to noble human values.
Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan pointed out that the Foundation contributes, by spreading joy and hope in the hearts of these children and their families, to building a more compassionate and caring society, which reflects the basic principles of humanity that the UAE adheres to.
She said: “Over the past years, the Foundation has been able to fulfill more than 6,900 wishes for sick children suffering from chronic and serious diseases inside and outside the Emirates, and we look forward to the coming years of goodness that give us the ability to fulfill more wishes that draw joy on faces and illuminate the path of hope and optimism ahead of them and their families.” “.
To celebrate this occasion, many governmental and private institutions will participate with the Make a Wish Foundation in celebrating World Wish Day by lighting its buildings in blue in various cities of the country.
