Turkish exports to Russia rise 46%

The export of Turkish goods to Russia in June 2022 showed a sharp increase of 46% compared to June last year against the background of sanctions from European countries and a decrease in the volume of their supplies to the Russian Federation.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the volume of imported products from this country also increased by 52% compared to the previous month and amounted to $791.4 million, while in May it was $519 million, and Turkish exports recorded their lowest level in 2010.

He notes that there has been a marked increase in the supply of peaches and cherries, but that the supply of machinery, equipment and components has also increased significantly.

RBC also asserts, that Turkey may rank fourth in the list of the largest exporters to Russia if the level of exports of goods from European countries continues to decline against the background of sanctions.
