New York Traffic: 46th Annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour Backs Up, Closing Streets and Roads as Riders Race Through City

NEW YORK (WABC) — Traffic delays in New York City continue after the 46th annual TD Five Boro Bike Ride began Sunday morning.

More than 32,000 cyclists of all skill levels participated in the 40-mile five-borough charity bike ride.

The first wave of cyclists began biking at 7:30 a.m. in Lower Manhattan at the intersection of Franklin Street and Church Street. Riders race through each district until they reach the finish line at Ford Wadsworth, Staten Island.

Co-organized by Bike New York, the ride helps fund free bicycle education programs and equip people with the skills needed to ride safely and confidently on city streets.
