Taiwan Defense: China has sent 20 aircraft and 14 ships to the island
On the third day of the exercises, the PLA sent 20 aircraft and 14 warships to Taiwan.
According to the Taiwan defense, Beijing has sent four J-11 and J-16 fighters, ten Su-30 aircraft, as well as a Y-20 heavy military transport ship.
It also became known that Taipei arranged an air patrol to monitor the situation, and also deployed anti-aircraft missile systems.
No further details of the exercises have been provided yet.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken noted a serious escalation of Chinese exercises in the Taiwan Strait.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the United States would not allow China to isolate Taiwan. The US House Speaker’s remarks came after she concluded her visit to Japan, which she arrived in after visiting South Korea and Taiwan.
