Chairman of the House Human Rights Committee: The Security Council’s decision to cease fire in Gaza is a success for Egypt’s efforts

   Chairman of the Human Rights Committee in the House of Representatives, Representative Tariq Radwan, considered that the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2728 regarding Gaza, which calls for an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan; It represents a great success for Egypt’s efforts, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to put an end to the war of extermination carried out by the Israeli occupation government against the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Radwan said, in a statement today, Monday, that the international community We are facing a real test at this delicate stage to take all necessary measures to ensure the full commitment of the occupation government to implementing the UN Security Council resolution on the ground to end the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people, which has continued since October 7 of last year until now.

Radwan pointed out that this decision would save innocent lives, and that the war on Gaza must be permanently ended and the two-state solution applicable must be emphasized in implementation of international legitimacy resolutions, most notably the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and an end to the Israeli occupation of the entire occupied Palestinian territories.

He added that the occupation government violated Palestinian human rights in its ugliest forms in front of the eyes of the international community, which stood silently and watched these violations, saluting President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continuous efforts and categorical refusal to starve the Palestinians, and providing all kinds of support and assistance to the Palestinian people.
