The Haramain Train Project, with its five stations in Mecca, Medina, King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh, is the largest transportation project provided by the Kingdom to serve visitors of the Two Holy Mosques throughout the year, especially during the Umrah seasons.  The services provided to passengers via the Haramain Express train are varied, including receiving passengers at the gates, verifying reservation information, following up on their movement via the escalators to the waiting area before calling the flight time, and transferring Through the escalators to the train parking area, supervising the security situation at the station and transit areas, checking the safety of luggage, guiding passengers to the carriages according to the data recorded in the reservation tickets, directing the passenger to the designated seat, as well as serving people with disabilities and transferring them by wheelchair to a seat. Sitting in the designated car is safe and easy, and services also include supervising the provision of food inside the train, and a sales service that provides safe and multiple electronic payment services during the trip.

The station’s area is 268 thousand square meters, enabling it to receive and transport 4,000 passengers per hour arriving and departing from the station. The station also includes a commercial center. Full services, restaurants and cafes, designated waiting areas, banking and exchange services, car rental services, telecommunications companies, offices for completing housing and hotel reservations, public transportation services and frequent flights between the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to parking lots under the station.

 The Ministry of Transport and Logistics implements, through the Saudi Railways Company “SAR”, A facilitating transportation plan for visitors and pilgrims through the Haramain Express Train project through five stations, to transport 1.330 million passengers during the holy month of Ramadan, an increase of 26% over last year, and with a number of trips reaching 2,748 trips, an increase of 9% over last year, as trips are operated regularly during The holy month through a fleet of 35 high-speed trains from various stations, with a capacity of 417 seats per train, and a railway network with a length of 450 kilometers, designed to the highest quality and safety specifications that ensure the comfort and security of travelers and their transportation to their destinations on regular schedules.
