Minister of Irrigation: The Survey Authority carries out surveying work for many national projects

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hani Sweilem, confirmed that the Egyptian General Survey Authority is participating in many major national projects by implementing surveying work for these projects, such as new city projects, roads, agricultural expansions, etc.

 

This came during a meeting held by the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation with Engineer Khaled Amin, Chairman of the Egyptian General Survey Authority, Engineer Howaida El Nouby, Vice President of the Survey Authority, Dr. Ahmed Medhat, Head of the Sector Supervising the Minister’s Office, and Engineer Ahmed Omar, in the Minister’s Technical Office. To review the work and activities of the Survey Authority in the fields of surveying, expropriation, and map production.

Dr. Sweilem explained that among the projects in which the Survey Authority contributes are the development of the South Valley, the conveyor path to the Hamam station, the new administrative capital, and the city of El Alamein. At the republic level, to work on the RTK (real-time monitoring) system to help all state agencies quickly complete surveying work and ensure the unification of coordinate systems at the republic level. He added that the Survey Authority carries out property inventory work with precision to determine fair compensation for citizens and institutions in the event that they are forced to expropriate property to implement public benefit projects, which has borne fruit. In implementing many projects throughout the Republic over the past years in harmony and satisfaction with citizens.

The Authority also provides its services to citizens and various state agencies by providing topographical and detailed maps (paper and digital) at various scales necessary for planning national projects. Urban planning, population census, and facilities connectivity, in addition to participating in the presidential initiative “A Decent Life” Implementing survey work for the initiative’s sites for 4,427 sites in various governorates of the Republic, and implementing surveying work for the urban estate project for cities, villages, tracts, and hamlets in the Republic for 158 cities, 4,200 villages, and 18,349 tracts, estates, and hamlets.
