Gold loses $3 after record gains

Capitals, April 4, 2017 – Gold prices fell during trading today, losing about $3 in spot transactions after recording record gains in the previous session, bringing them towards their highest levels ever.

By 10:11 am UAE time, the yellow metal fell by 0.13%, or the equivalent of $3.01, to reach 2297.06 per ounce.

On the other hand, gold contracts for April 2024 delivery increased by 0.07%, or the equivalent of $1.65, to reach $2,316.7 per ounce.

In terms of other precious metals, silver grew by 0.1% to $27.15 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.06% to $952.7, while palladium rose 0.66% to $1,031.03.
