Rolling power outages introduced in six regions of Ukraine

The Ukrenergo company introduced rolling blackouts in six regions of Ukraine. Such measures were taken due to the latest massive attacks by the Russian army on energy facilities. About it reports in the company’s telegram channel.

Ukrenergo reports that every day from 18:20 to 22:00 electricity will be turned off in the Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kirovograd, Poltava and Sumy regions. The company also informs that energy supply restrictions continue to apply for residents of the Kharkov region and for enterprises in Krivoy Rog.

  • Over the past few weeks, Russia has carried out a series of massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. It was reported that as a result of the attacks on the night of March 22, the largest Ukrainian energy company DTEK lost about half of its generating capacity. The largest object hit during the missile attack was the Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Station in Zaporozhye.
  • On the night of the 25th Russian drones struck at two substations in the south of Ukraine, which left some consumers in Odessa and the Odessa region without electricity.
  • After an attack by Russian troops on the night of March 29, power plants in western and central Ukraine were damaged.

    The country’s Prime Minister Denis Shmygal later clarifiedthat the energy infrastructure in six regions of the country was damaged: Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Cherkassy and Chernivtsi.
