Al Khouri added: “The social responsibility program for the holy month of Ramadan embodies the established values ​​of giving in the UAE. It also reflects the Ministry of Finance’s continued commitment to establishing a culture of charitable and volunteer work in line with the directives of the wise leadership to enhance social responsibility within government and institutional work practices in the country. For his part, Rashid Mohammed Al Khatibi Al Kaabi, Director of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority in Ras Al Khaimah, expressed the Red Crescent Authority’s appreciation for the Ministry of Finance’s humanitarian and development initiatives and its continued support for the Authority’s programs.

Within the framework of the social responsibility program for the holy month of Ramadan, and based on its keenness to commemorate Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which falls on the nineteenth of the month of Ramadan, in commemoration of the passing of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, the Ministry of Finance organized a number of initiatives in cooperation with the Authority. The Emirates Red Crescent and the Community Development Authority in Dubai, which included the Iftar Initiative, which aims to distribute breakfast meals to 1,000 fasting people.

The Ministry of Finance organized the “Ramadan Meer” initiative, which targeted 50 needy families and achieved active participation as a matter of social responsibility towards individuals and society, with the aim of stimulating sustainable values ​​of giving among all groups and segments of society, as this initiative reflects the Ministry’s keenness to provide various forms of support, aid and assistance to families. The Ministry of Finance organized the “Your Eid is on Us” initiative, which aims to distribute Eid clothing to 100 orphan children and their needy families, in order to ensure that their needs are met sufficiently before the advent of Eid al-Fitr, in order to put a smile on their faces and bring joy and happiness to their hearts, which contributes to enhancing Community rapprochement and cohesion with this group, which receives great attention in society.
