"Dubai Digital Economy" It discusses enhancing the role of the private sector and advanced technologies in economic growth

DUBAI, 4th April, 2018 (WAM) – The Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, organized a communication session with representatives of digital companies, to discuss ways to activate the role of these companies in supporting the digital transformation process in the emirate, and enhancing the contribution of advanced technologies, most notably artificial intelligence. Blockchain digital transactions contribute to the economic growth of the emirate.
The session was attended by His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy, and His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, during which a survey was organized to monitor the opinions of the participants, to learn about their visions and recommendations. How to provide an incubating and stimulating environment for the growth of their digital companies.
Survey participants confirmed that Dubai provides an advanced work system for companies operating in various sectors of the digital economy, noting that the emirate continues to enhance its global competitiveness and is an attractive destination for talents specialized in modern technologies.
The attendees noted the importance of the initiatives and programs provided by the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy to companies specialized in the sector, especially with regard to enhancing constructive dialogue between the public and private sectors to discuss the reality and requirements of supporting the growth of the digital economy.
Survey participants stressed the need to expand the scope of digital knowledge exchange platforms for the private sector, in addition to the importance of providing support and customized services to emerging, small and medium-sized companies according to their requirements, and enabling companies to keep pace with developments in the world of modern technologies by enhancing their growth, innovative capabilities and competitive potential.
