The National Archives and Library enriches the Fourth International Translation Conference with new academic research

Abu Dhabi, April 4 / WAM / The National Archives and the National Library are organizing the Fourth International Translation Conference on April 17 and 18 under the slogan “Towards New Horizons: Translation and Building Knowledge Societies.”

The National Archives and Library enrich the conference – which witnesses the participation of more than 40 researchers from all over the world – with modern academic theses that support translation efforts in building and developing knowledge societies.
In the same context, this year the Archives and the National Library issued three peer-reviewed scientific volumes containing the research harvest of the Third International Translation Conference, which was organized by the Archives and the National Library last year “2023” under the slogan “Artificial Intelligence between Translation and Enriching National Libraries.”
The first and second volumes contain 32 papers published in Arabic, while the third volume contains 23 papers published in English.

It addresses all the conference themes that shed light on the use of artificial intelligence media in the field of translation, translating original books, enriching national libraries and specialized translation, localizing knowledge and translational creativity, transferring modern sciences, translation and creating knowledge societies, translation for the deaf, the hard of hearing, and people of determination, and ethical and ideological problems. In translation, machine translation and developing the skills of new translators.
His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the Archives and the National Library, said: “These three volumes represent scientific value that the Archives and the National Library are proud to place in the hands of researchers and those interested in translation affairs because of the new and innovative ideas they contain, and to enrich Arab and international libraries with them,” pointing out This achievement complements what is being witnessed in the translation conferences in the archives and the National Library, which increases our determination to continue the process of organizing translation conferences this year and in the coming years.
His Excellency added: “What distinguishes the National Archives and National Library conferences is the knowledge, scientific and academic production they produce that provides research material for specialists in the field of translation, and these valuable volumes are the greatest evidence of that, and since the date of the Fourth International Translation Conference is approaching, I am pleased to invite All members of society in the United Arab Emirates to benefit from this cultural, academic and specialized meeting.”

It is noteworthy that the organizing committee of the Fourth Translation Conference received 220 papers this year, of which 40 papers were accepted after arbitration and review to participate in the conference agenda, and 10 papers were accepted for publication without the participation of their authors.
