Urgent.. The United Nations suspends its night operations in Gaza, while its humanitarian convoys continue during the day

United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric confirmed that the United Nations decided to suspend its night movements inside Gaza for at least 48 hours, following the killing of World Central Kitchen employees in several Israeli raids earlier this week, while continuing Operations during the day, including daily efforts by the World Food Program to send convoys to the northern Gaza Strip.

According to a UN spokesman, according to the UN Information Centre The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs took the decision to suspend night movements inside Gaza, in order Allowing further assessment of the security issues that affected personnel on the ground, and of course the civilian population he is trying to help.

Dujarric stressed that people are dying, and it is necessary that we provide them with assistance. As famine approaches, we need personnel and humanitarian supplies so that we can move freely and safely throughout the Gaza Strip.

For its part, the World Health Organization stated that it has again asked the Israeli authorities to facilitate access to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Multiple requests by the organization to access the hospital over the past two weeks have been denied, delayed or hindered.

Dujarric said: A World Health Organization team was also planning to visit two other hospitals in northern Gaza – Al-Sahaba and Al-Ahly – but permission was not obtained to go to these sites. He said, We and our partners in the humanitarian field will continue to do everything in our power to deliver life-saving aid to civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.
