Iftar is one of the initiatives of the Emirates Food Bank campaign that it launched at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to distribute 5 million meals to those eligible within the country.

Manal Bin Yarouf, head of the executive team at the Emirates Food Bank, confirmed that the collective humanitarian breakfast organized by the bank for the workers category reflects the bank’s message and approach as a humanitarian system that raises the value of feeding food and delivering it to its beneficiaries with the highest quality, and embodies its commitment to promoting the principle of social responsibility and the values ​​of goodness, giving, and work. She pointed to Dubai Municipality’s direct supervision of food safety through monitoring the standards used by the Emirates Food Bank in all steps of receiving, transporting, storing and distributing food, providing the highest levels of food safety for all beneficiaries of the bank’s initiatives.

It is noteworthy that the bank’s initiatives during the month of Ramadan aimed to provide 166,666 meals daily to beneficiaries through a number of initiatives and sub-campaigns that included the “Your Breakfast is on Us” campaign, the “No Food Waste” initiative, “The Thousand Cooking,” “Food Baskets,” and “Iftar with workers”, in addition to implementing 25 awareness programmes, while the number of strategic partners supporting the bank’s initiatives and campaigns reached more than 350 strategic partners from food establishments, hotels and companies.
