Russia claimed to have neutralized 53 Ukrainian drones in several regions on Friday April 5. “Several attempts by the kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aerial drones have been prevented”, the Russian Defense Ministry said. In total, 53 devices were shot down or intercepted, including 44 over the Rostov region, according to the same source.
The city from Rostov-on-Don houses the headquarters of Russian troops involved in the invasion of Ukraine. It was also the scene last June of the spectacular mutiny of Wagner’s mercenaries, who briefly seized the army headquarters before stopping their rebellion. The other regions of Saratov, Kursk, Belgorod and Krasnodar were also targeted.
