"Dubai Culture" A series of heritage events are being held in Al Shindagha, Al Fahidi and Hatta to celebrate Eid Al Fitr

DUBAI, 6 APRIL / WAM / The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, announced the organization of cultural events and heritage performances for visitors to its assets and affiliated sites to celebrate Eid Al Fitr, during the period from 11 to 14 April.

This comes within the framework of the Authority’s support for the “Eid in Dubai” campaign organized by the Dubai Media Council, with the aim of highlighting the festive scene in Dubai and enabling visitors to the emirate to enjoy the Eid atmosphere there.

Through the series of events it organizes at Al Shindagha Museum, Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, and Hatta Heritage Village, the Authority seeks to highlight the details of local culture and its aesthetics, and to introduce the system of societal customs and traditions and the cultural diversity that characterizes the country.

Over the course of three days, Al Shindagha Museum, the largest heritage museum in the Emirates, will bring family members together on Eid al-Fitr, taking them on the “Eid Route,” which gives them the opportunity to visit the various houses and wings of the museum and move between them to explore the history, heritage and culture of Dubai and the Emirates through a variety of collectibles. Exhibits, films, old photographs, and learning about local customs and traditions related to Eid and the details of social life through heritage events.

On the other hand, the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, as well as the Hatta Heritage Village, will open their doors to visitors to enjoy a group of artistic performances, presented by a group of popular bands to celebrate Eid Al Fitr.
