Russian diplomat: Relations between Moscow and Helsinki will not return to their previous state due to Finland joining the alliance "NATO"

The Russian Ambassador to Finland, Pavel Kuznetsov, said that cooperative relations between Moscow and Helsinki will never return to what they were before; Because of Finland’s accession to NATO.

 

Kuznetsov added – according to the TASS news agency: Russian – “Sooner or later, the relationship between the two neighbors will be restored… but this will not happen as quickly as we would like… Everything here will not depend much on Helsinki, which has largely lost its independence in making decisions regarding foreign policy, but rather on the path The general policy pursued by Washington and Brussels towards Russia.” 

 

The Russian diplomat continued, “In any case, there will be no return to the previous form of cooperation now that Finland has joined To the NATO military bloc.”

 

Kuznetsov blamed senior Finnish politicians for almost completely dismantling cooperation with Russia..

Explaining that Work contacts continue only through the foreign ministries and embassies of the two countries, and there are also contacts between some agencies, most of which are security agencies, stressing that the Finnish authorities have clearly joined the Western side in the war against Russia.
