Advisor to the Jordanian Minister of Tourism and General Supervisor of Ramadan Activities in the Ministry, Hisham Al-Abadi, confirms that the Ministry is working during this year to spread Ramadan activities in many archaeological and other sites and places in the capital, Amman, and the governorates of the Kingdom, within the framework of the process of revitalizing internal tourism, especially in the Holy Month.

Al-Abadi said – in a special statement by the director of the Middle East News Agency office in Amman – that this is the first time this year that such events have been held on the “Sabeel Al-Huriyat” stage. As a form of promoting this historical archaeological site, he pointed out that the Ministry of Tourism and its various institutions are trying to present what is new to the Jordanian and Arab public as a form of communication and learning about the antiquities and ancient history of the Kingdom and the Jordanian people.

He added that the Ministry worked to benefit and invite Jordanian teams. Especially religious ones, in order to hold these events this year, which have a special nature that coincides with the unfortunate events that the brothers in Gaza are going through. He pointed out that the ministry joins the people of Gaza in praying and celebrating the holy month through religious songs and chants only.

Al-Abadi pointed out that This new experience this year will be implemented in the coming years on a larger scale with the participation of Arab brothers who have religious groups and sweet voices of praise like the brothers in Egypt, stressing that this year the catastrophic conditions in Gaza impose themselves on the activities and therefore we are working to deliver a message to the people of Gaza in solidarity. With them through prayers, religious songs, and praise.

The advisor to the Jordanian Minister of Tourism, the general supervisor of Ramadan activities, revealed that public entry to such events is free without any fees, in confirmation of the main goal of the Ministry. "The Path of the Nymphs" ; It is a bathroom used by princesses and high-ranking people in the Roman era, and was subsequently reused for the same purpose, in the Byzantine, Umayyad and Abbasid eras, where the interior of the place contains a great deal of luxury and antiquity in its design, and contains three hinges.

"The Path of the Nymphs" With the interest and care of the Jordanian Department of Antiquities, in the nineties of the last century, it conducted an archaeological excavation inside the site, and work continued until the beginning of the year 2000, during which it discovered the site of “Sabil al-Huriyat” Almost completely, a group of statues and various artifacts were found, dating back to various eras.

And the inner façade of “The Path of the Nymphs” It was covered with marble slabs, while the swimming pool was wide, extending along the length of the building, and 26 feet deep. Baths, fountains, and columns ten meters high were erected, but only two towers and the ruins between them remain today.
