F1: relive Max Verstappen’s victory in the Japanese Grand Prix

Stopped in his streak of invincibility by faulty brakes in Melbourne, Max Verstappen wasted no time in getting back to his good habits. The Dutchman dominated the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday April 7, after taking pole position the day before. The three-time reigning world champion scored his third consecutive victory at Suzuka, and beat his teammate Sergio Pérez, a solid second.

The main struggle took place behind, with a fight between Ferrari and McLaren. The Scuderia was right at the end of the race, with Carlos Sainz confirming his good start to the season with third place on the podium, and Charles Leclerc, fourth ahead of Norris. The Monegasque however started eighth at the start, which saw a red flag delay the Grand Prix after the accident between Alexander Albon (Williams) and Daniel Ricciardo (Racing Bulls), fortunately not serious. Max Verstappen is back at ease in the driver rankings. Relive the race.
