Russian military killed three captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine began pre-trial investigation “on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder” after a video published in a number of telegram channels in which unknown persons shoot at point-blank range at three unarmed servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, the dead were prisoners of war, and Russian soldiers opened fire on them. The location of the alleged murder is also indicated: the outskirts of the village of Krynki, Kherson region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on the incident.

• The media note that this is not the first time that Ukraine has accused Russia of executing prisoners of war. So, in December last year, several similar videos appeared on the Internet, allegedly filmed in the Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions.
• In total, more than 50 thousand criminal cases of alleged crimes, including the murders of prisoners, committed by the Russian military are being investigated in Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense either did not comment or denied any such accusations.
