Behind Robert Fico’s policy, the controversial Slovak Prime Minister was shot five times
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot five times in the town of Handlova on Wednesday, where he was meeting his supporters, and was taken to hospital.
His deputy said he would survive the assassination attempt after four hours of emergency surgery. Fico’s political career has not been without controversy.

Who is Robert Fico?
Fico is serving his third term as prime minister of Slovakia, after two previous non-consecutive terms as leader of the central European country.
