Urgent.. President Sisi receives the Palestinian Prime Minister

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today the Palestinian Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, and his accompanying delegation, which includes Mr. Wael Zaqout, Minister of Planning, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, and Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development. In addition to Ambassador Diab Al-Louh, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Cairo.

 

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that President Sisi welcomed the Palestinian Prime Minister, wishing him and the new Palestinian government success. And to repay their efforts to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people, stressing that Egypt will always remain supportive of the Palestinian cause, until fair Palestinian rights are guaranteed in an independent, sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, which the Palestinian Prime Minister appreciated, conveying his greetings. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ appreciation for Mr. President, praising Egypt’s firm position in supporting Palestinian rights, and the current tireless efforts under the leadership of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to stop the bloodshed of the Palestinian people and refuse to liquidate their cause and legitimate rights.

 

 

The official spokesman added that the meeting witnessed a review of the intensive Egyptian efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, exchange detainees, and implement sufficient humanitarian aid to confront the crisis facing the Strip, as the Palestinian Prime Minister appreciated The historical Egyptian role in bearing responsibility for the process of introducing relief aid to the Gaza Strip despite the obstacles and difficulties in that regard. 

 

The two sides also stressed the complete rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their lands or Liquidating the Palestinian issue, warning against continued military escalation and the continued expansion of the circle of conflict. It was also confirmed that a just settlement of the Palestinian issue is the guarantor of restoring security and stability in the region.
