Pope Tawadros: I congratulate our Muslim brothers in Egypt and the world on Eid, and may God keep us happy

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II offered congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, which Egypt and the Arab and Islamic countries celebrated today.

 

This came before delivering his sermon at the weekly Wednesday meeting that he held in the evening. Today at the Papal Residence in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya.

 

His Holiness the Pope congratulated President Sisi, the presidents, kings and their people in the countries celebrating the holiday, and he also congratulated the Egyptian government and all officials in all fields.

 

His Holiness the Pope said in his congratulations: “I would like to congratulate all our Muslim brothers in Egypt on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, as well as the Muslim brothers in all Arab and Islamic countries, the leaders, rulers, kings, presidents and peoples in all countries.” Country.".

 

He added: “This Eid comes after the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting and worship, and the holidays that come after periods of fasting and prayer are always a reason for joy for everyone.” ;

 

He continued: "We congratulate Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian government, Mr. Prime Minister, the House of Representatives president and members, the Senate president and members, and officials in all fields."

 

He concluded: “We hope that the days of Eid will be happy and days of joy, for adults and children, and that all our days will be holidays and joy for our people and our country. May God keep us happy. Happy New Year to you.” .
