Three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh killed in Gaza Strip

On Wednesday, Palestinian and Arab media reportedthat as a result of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip, three sons and several grandchildren of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the radical group Hamas, recognized as terrorist in the United States and Europe, were killed. This was confirmed by the press services of the Israeli army and security services.

How stated In the IDF, Emir Haniyeh was the commander of a squadron of the military wing of Hamas. His two brothers, Muhammad and Hazem Haniyeh, were also commanders of the group.

Ismail Haniya confirmed the report of the death of his sons and grandchildren. He called them “martyrs” and added that the blood of his children was “no more valuable than the blood of any of our people.”

He stated media company Al-Jazeera that the death of relatives will not force the Hamas leadership to retreat from its plans, including changing its position regarding negotiations on a truce with Israel.

Haniya, 62, has 13 children in total. The head of Hamas himself does not live in the Gaza Strip; his main place of residence is Qatar.
