Dubai, April 12 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organizing the 26th session of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), from 1 to 3 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and founder and president of the Water, Energy and Environment Technology Exhibition, said in a statement today that “WETEX”, as one of the largest specialized exhibitions in the world, supports the efforts of the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai to mobilize international efforts aimed at accelerating The wheel of energy transition and achieving carbon neutrality, especially in the Year of Sustainability in the UAE.
He explained that the exhibition constitutes a global platform to learn about the latest technologies, solutions and innovations from all over the world, which will find solutions to current and future challenges, and ensure a brighter and more sustainable future for all. He stressed that the continuous support from the wise leadership contributed to making the exhibition a fundamental pillar in supporting the achievement of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean energy sources by the year 2050.
