Mustafa Emara, the media spokesman for the Cotton Research Institute, said that a delegation from the Cotton Research Institute, led by Dr. Abdel Nasser Radwan, Director of the Cotton Research Institute, followed cotton cultivations of the new variety Giza 98 at the Dar El Salam Center in Sohag Governorate.
Radwan confirmed During his meeting with a number of farmers, it is necessary to pay attention to agricultural operations, including thinning, fertilization, and irrigation, as well as control operations, and the need for the crop to be planted at the appropriate times.
“Amara” explained The Giza 98 variety was registered in March 2022, and its cultivation was included on the commercial scale starting from the last season of 2023 in an area of 85 acres in the center of Dar es Salaam, pointing out that during this 2024 season, 800 checks of the new variety Giza 98 were distributed to Sohag and the New Valley The cultivation of more than 300 acres has been expanded in Sohag Governorate, and cultivation is being completed.
