Closing of the event "Stories under the ghaf tree" In Sharjah

Sharjah, April 14 / WAM / The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators concluded the “Tales Under the Ghaf Tree” event, which it organized to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan at the Rubu’ Qarn Center for Theater and Performing Arts in City Center Al Zahia in Sharjah as part of its innovative cultural development programs in theater and performing arts and within the framework of Its keenness to highlight the role of theater in consolidating high values ​​and behaviors and its importance in spreading awareness, supporting the cultural scene, deepening human interaction and stimulating artistic creativity.

Through serious artistic work, the event took more than 1,300 visitors and audience participants to stories from the depth of heritage, history and the arts, with the aim of introducing them to the various forms of theater and performing arts, in addition to developing their knowledge, enriching their heritage, historical and artistic information, and enhancing communication between members of society at all ages.

The event was characterized by a variety of theatrical and artistic activities that the audience enjoyed throughout the holy month of Ramadan, which formed a mixture between the beauty of the arts and the magic of stories. It was held in a lively and creative Ramadan atmosphere, as it included storyteller sessions that influenced the audience through the storytelling of popular and historical tales with their positive messages and meanings. The event also included artistic and writing workshops to develop the participants’ skills and hone their talents in creative writing in the From Paper to Stage workshop.

The event also included interactive workshops on making paper Ramadan lanterns, dolls, wall decorations, and colorful stories, in addition to Ramadan songs, the basics of reading, summarizing the story, and the art of recitation, in addition to knowledge programs and introductory workshops, which witnessed a remarkable turnout from children and youth.

The creators of the quarter-century theater and performance arts had a strong presence and a prominent role that enriched the event and contributed to its success, beginning with their participation in organizing the workshops carried out throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to the creative, interactive workshops they presented through which they presented the summary of their personal experiences in theater and the performing arts, in addition to the workshops. Puppets that carry a theatrical character in accordance with the atmosphere of the holy month, in addition to their stories about heritage and popular heritage, and their creative short stories that were distinguished by their attractive style and expressive performance, which they presented to children and youth visitors about popular proverbs with the aim of entrenching these proverbs in their minds.

The members of the Quarter Qarn Theater and Performing Arts also dazzled the audience, who enjoyed their wonderful performance and high artistic skills in a group of distinguished theatrical performances that had external participations and whose titles varied to include the play The Bird of Stories, the play Above the Ground Under the Sky, the play Faces, and the play Waiting Station, which won the award for Best Lead Actor. Second at the International Den Festival in the Sultanate of Oman.

The event enjoyed the cooperation of many entities concerned with heritage and arts, including the Sharjah Heritage Institute, the International School of Storytelling, the Maraya Arts Center, and Scribble Box, in addition to the Sharjah Cooperative and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority.

The event also witnessed fun daily and weekly competitions that included summarizing stories and cultural discussions that accompanied discussion sessions with parents to exchange experiences and address the impact of theater in developing the skills and abilities of children and youth, which added an atmosphere of competition and entertainment to the attendees.

Many parents expressed their happiness with the activities they saw in various workshops appropriate to the ages of their children, which played a tangible role in enriching their experiences, developing their skills, giving them new skills, and helping them communicate constructively in an interactive social environment that left a good impact on their souls and motivated them to repeat their visits to the event. Some visitors praised the purposeful and wonderfully organized activities that exceeded expectations and expressed their desire to repeat such events to benefit from participating in them.
