New competitions for the weanling age race in Al Dhaid Square

Al Dhaid, April 14 / WAM / Under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and organized by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, new competitions for the “Weaned Age” race for tribal camels continued today on the grounds of Al Dhaid Camel Racing Field.

The competitions included 22 rounds for weanlings, including 12 rounds for the people of Al Dhaid with female participants, 4 difficult rounds for the people of Al Dhaid, 4 open rounds, and two rounds without treatment for a distance of 1,500 metres, in the presence of large crowds of camel owners and lovers.

The results of the first places in the race came – a rare first half by Ali Rashid Hamoud Al Ketbi, a clear second half by Khalifa Rabei bin Gwaith Al Ketbi, and a third half, “Verses” by Nasser Hamad Saeed Al Mansouri, with a time of 2:07:25 (the best time), and the fourth half. Forgiving by Muhammad Saif Awad Al-Ketbi, the fifth half is a blessing by Muhammad Khalifa, Muhammad Howiden Al-Ketbi, the sixth half is useless for Awad Saeed Awad Al-Ketbi, the seventh half is a success for Abdullah Saif Hamid Al-Ketbi, the eighth half is Shaheen by Rashid Salem Sultan Al-Qamari, and the ninth half is youthful by Khalifa Rabie. As for the difficult rounds, the results were – the nineteenth round was a success for Saeed Rashid Salem Al-Aidab, the twentieth round was Warsan for Abdullah Salem Matar for Al-Rashdi, the twenty-first round was Al-Rafidain for Mohammed Hashel Rashid Al-Khateri, and the twenty-second round was a challenge for Mohammed Hashel Rashid Al-Khateri.

His Excellency Matarali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, confirmed that the weanling age competitions witnessed new and exciting competitions today, and the weanling age competitions in Al Dhaid Square every Sunday morning of every week have become a feast for owners and racers and an exceptional celebratory carnival that brings together camel people from all over the Emirates.
