Parliamentarian: The Iranian-Israeli escalation is an embodiment of Egypt’s continuous warnings about the repercussions of the expansion of the conflict in the region

Abu al-Futouh explained that the escalation we are witnessing today in the Iranian-Israeli arena is nothing but a direct result of what Egypt had previously warned about, regarding fears of an expanding Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which… It warns of dire consequences and threatens international peace and security, which pays the price for the arrogance of the Israeli aggression and the silence of the international community regarding its brutal practices and the implementation of unjust military operations against humanity, stressing that the current conditions will not benefit anyone and there will be no victor and loser among countries, but the only loser is the voice of Peace and humanity in light of the military escalation in the region on more than one front.
The senator added that these tensions force everyone in the international arena to listen to the voice of reason that always comes out of Egypt regarding… An immediate cessation of the war on the Gaza Strip, as it imposes the need to intensify international calming efforts and stop the military escalation in order to defuse the current tense situation and contain its dire repercussions, while pushing seriously and quickly towards settling the Palestinian issue in a just and comprehensive manner, as it is the central issue in the region and the path to establishing peace and security. And stability in it, through the cooperation of the parties concerned to achieve this.
Abu al-Futouh appreciated the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s emphasis on working to maintain communication with all parties to try to contain the situation, stop the escalation, and spare the region the risk of sliding into a dangerous turn. From instability and the threat to the interests of its people, indicating that the path taken by Egypt is consistent and unchanging, which is characterized by balance and rationality in order to protect Egypt’s national security on the one hand, and to work continuously to prevent the expansion of the conflict and establish peace, as it is an unavoidable strategic option, and that the political settlement is the only way to guarantee Stability of the region.
