ABU DHABI, 14 APRIL / WAM / Etihad Airways announced its readiness to resume regular passenger and cargo flights between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Tel Aviv (TLV), and Abu Dhabi and Amman (AMM) tomorrow, Monday 15 April, after reopening the airspace of Israel, Jordan and other countries. Etihad Airways stated, in a statement today, that the situation is subject to continuous development, while it continues to constantly monitor security events and airspace.

She added that Etihad Airways flights are only operated through approved airspace, noting that the safety of guests and crew remains a top priority, explaining, “We will never operate a flight unless it is safe to do so.”

She said that with services returning to normal after the temporary closure of airspace across parts of the Middle East on Sunday, April 14, it is possible that some flights will be subject to modification on Monday, April 15.

Etihad Airways had canceled its flights to Tel Aviv and Amman today, Sunday, due to the closure of airspace in the region, as flights EY593 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Tel Aviv (TLV), EY594 from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi, and EY513 from Abu Dhabi to Amman were cancelled. (AMM) and EY514 from Amman to Abu Dhabi.

Etihad Airways also redirected a number of its flights operating to and from Europe and North America on Sunday to fly over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
