Japanese stocks decline at the beginning of the week

Tokyo, April 15 / WAM / Japanese stock indices closed lower at the end of today’s trading.

The Nikkei Index closed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, down by 0.74 percent, equivalent to 290.75 points, to reach the level of 39,232.8 points.

The broader Topix index fell by 0.23 percent, equivalent to 6.44 points, to reach the level of 2753.2 points.
