The US will not intercept drones attacking Ukraine

Earlier, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that if British forces were to help Ukraine shoot down drones, as they did during Iran’s attack on Israel, it would be a direct clash between NATO troops and the Russian army and would lead to a “dangerous escalation.”

On April 15, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, emphasizing the effectiveness of Israel’s defense thanks to the support of the United States and its allies, statedthat the European skies could have received the same level of protection long ago if Ukraine had received the same full support from its partners in intercepting drones and missiles. Israel, like Ukraine, is not a member of NATO, and this does not require the activation of Article 5, only political will is enough, Zelensky emphasized. “By defending Israel, the world showed that such unity is not only possible, but also 100 percent effective,” Zelensky said.

During the Iranian attack on the night of Sunday, April 14, dozens of drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles, were launched into Israel.
