"Fujairah Natural Resources" Expanding adoption of smart technologies and clean energy

Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / Engineer Ali Qasim, Director General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, stated that more than 60% of the Corporation’s buildings have become smart and use clean energy, stressing the intention to expand the adoption of smart technologies and clean energy in the Authority’s buildings during the coming periods. .
He confirmed in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the Corporation’s participation in the World Future Energy Summit held in Abu Dhabi, that the Corporation has made great strides with the mining facilities that it supervises, in order to use solar energy by those facilities, pointing out that there is a plan until the year By 2031, most mining facilities will use clean energy.
Qasim pointed out that participation in the sixteenth session of the World Future Energy Summit provided the opportunity to review the most important projects and innovations undertaken by the Foundation and various entities in the Emirate of Fujairah in order to achieve the UAE’s vision and its directions towards sustainable development.
He explained that the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation is participating in the activities of the World Future Energy Summit under the umbrella of the Fujairah government, as it is the most prominent event in the field of future energy, clean technology and sustainability.
He pointed out that participation contributes to presenting the Corporation’s projects to leaders of the energy industry and highlighting its role in drawing the map of the energy future locally and globally, and its contributions to enhancing environmental sustainability and employing modern technologies to enhance the energy system. Pointing out that the Corporation has experiences that have proven its effectiveness and leadership in strengthening the energy system. This is through its projects and works in the Emirate of Fujairah.
The Director General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Foundation spoke about the project to capture carbon and inject it into rocks, as one of the projects that contributes to significantly reducing carbon emissions after the end of the experimental stages.
Qasim stressed that the Foundation will continue to participate in this event and promote joint climate action, in line with the UAE’s long-term vision in the field of sustainability and its commitment to achieving climate neutrality.
At the conclusion of his statement, Engineer Ali Qasim pointed out that the Corporation had obtained the global certificate of conformity to the ISO standard for the energy management system, in honor of its efforts in implementing energy management systems and enhancing its efficiency and its commitment to adopting sustainable practices in all aspects of its operational operations and various services, thus making the Corporation the first entity at the government level. Fujairah obtains this certificate in this field.
