Jordan will host the 11th Asia-Pacific Ministerial Cooperation Conference at the end of this month

The 11th Cooperative Ministerial Conference for Asia-Pacific countries will begin at the Dead Sea, during the period between 28 and 29 of this month, and is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Jordanian Cooperative Corporation in partnership with the International Cooperative Alliance for Asia-Pacific and Arab Countries.

The Jordanian Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Cooperative Corporation, Khaled Al-Hanaifat, said that Jordan is preparing for the launch of the eleventh Cooperative Ministerial Conference of Asia-Pacific countries in the Dead Sea region at the end of this month under the patronage of Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, stressing the completion of all preparations. And preparations to host this international event, which enjoys broad participation from many ministers concerned with the cooperative sector in the sisterly Arab countries, the friendly Asian countries, the Pacific region and North Africa, along with representatives of international bodies and organizations, and global cooperative movements.

He added. Al-Hunaifat – during a press conference held at the Ministry of Agriculture, today, Wednesday, in the presence of the Director General of the Cooperative Corporation, Abdel Fattah Al-Shalabi, to talk about the cooperative ministerial conference organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Cooperative Corporation in partnership with the International Cooperative Alliance for Asia-Pacific Countries (ICA-AP) – that the conference, which Hosted by the Kingdom over two days on the 28th and 29th of this month, it is considered a new launch for the cooperative sector and the Jordanian cooperative movement in light of the widespread international interest in participating in its work at the official level on the one hand, and the global cooperative movements on the other hand, despite what the Eastern Mediterranean region is witnessing. Of crises and conflicts, especially in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to continuous Israeli aggression for seven months, which our Hashemite leadership has spared no effort to stop by working at all international and regional levels.

He stressed that the goal of the conference is to strengthen partnerships. Between governments and cooperatives that stand side by side with the public and private sectors in supporting the state’s economy, as a third sector that contributes to the gross domestic income, through joint work to achieve sustainable development at all economic, social, cultural and environmental levels, in addition to emphasizing the importance of strengthening identity. cooperatives and spreading the cooperative culture in societies, pointing to the importance of cooperatives in the development process, and the extent of their economic and social contributions to countries and societies, according to which the United Nations declared “2025 the Year of Cooperatives.” For the second time after 2012.

Al-Hunaifat explained that the Cooperative Ministerial Conference represents an important opportunity for the ministers concerned with the cooperative sector to discuss ways to strengthen partnerships and bilateral relations between official bodies and representatives of cooperative movements, as well as to exchange experiences in the areas of cooperative work and friction. Direct participation between participants to learn about the experiences of developed countries in the cooperative sector and the success stories of cooperatives in implementing pioneering and productive projects that have an impact on the economy and society.
