Missile attack on the center of Chernigov. Four deaths reported

The Russian military launched a missile attack on Chernigov on Wednesday morning, killing and wounding. Local authorities reported this. By data the head of the Chernigov regional military administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, three missiles were fired “almost into the center of Chernigov.”

A video allegedly appeared on Ukrainian telegram channels of the consequences of the strike – it shows a damaged multi-story building.

Acting mayor of the city Alexander Lomako reported four deaths. The number of wounded has not yet been announced. Under attack according to Lomako, social infrastructure objects were included. The Russian military has not yet commented on the strike.

The city of Chernigov is located in northern Ukraine, far from the front line. The Russian military failed to take it during the offensive in February-March 2022, and then retreated from the city. Since then, it has been the target of missile attacks several times.
